Compliance & Sustainability Specialist (Retail, Aarhus)

Job summary

This role focuses on enhancing sustainability through data-driven decision-making, specifically in automating CO2e calculations and reducing the carbon footprint of products. The position is integral to the Compliance & Quality department and involves collaboration with various stakeholders to improve environmental impact.

Qualifications

• Understanding of climate accounting (Scope 3, Category 1), product carbon footprint (PCF), and life cycle assessments (LCA).
• Relevant education or work experience in sustainability or data analysis; recent graduates are welcome.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel for data analysis.
• Interest in the green transition and current knowledge in sustainability.
• Positive attitude and ability to drive initiatives.
• Experience in production or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Finalize automation of CO2e calculations for all products.
• Work on reducing CO2e footprint of products and suppliers.
• Ensure all factories have valid environmental audits for accurate data utilization.
• Assist suppliers and buyers in sourcing responsible materials to enhance environmental impact.
• Ensure compliance with future Ecodesign requirements.
• Contribute to achieving Science Based Targets initiative goals related to products and supply chain.
• Collect and organize sustainability-related data to improve environmental impact.

Skills

• Strong analytical and structured working approach.
• Proficiency in Excel for data management and trend analysis.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in sustainability or data analysis.

• Excel and other data analysis tools.
