Group Operational Excellence Project Manager (Manufacturing, Remote)

Job summary

An experienced Lean professional is sought to enhance continuous improvement across a global manufacturing network. This role involves conducting Lean Maturity Assessments and translating findings into actionable improvement roadmaps while collaborating with factory teams worldwide.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Industrial Engineering, Production, or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent experience).
• 6-8 years of experience in manufacturing operations and Lean/Continuous Improvement roles.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Lean deployment on the shop floor.
• Proven ability to conduct Lean audits or maturity assessments in factory settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Lean Maturity Assessments at factories globally based on the ROPEX Production System.
• Develop practical improvement roadmaps from assessment findings.
• Facilitate constructive dialogues with factory teams and coach leaders on sustaining improvements.
• Lead ROPEX improvement projects and drive a continuous improvement mindset.
• Share best practices and enable cross-factory learning.

• Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
• Ability to engage factory leadership and translate performance data into actionable priorities.
• Strong intercultural competencies with flexibility for travel (60-70 days annually).

Education

• Master of Science in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

Tools

• Familiarity with Lean methods/tools such as 5S, tiered meetings, Structured Problem Solving, and ToyotaKata.
