IT Operations Engineer (Remote, Nordic Region)

Job summary

An experienced IT Operations Engineer is needed to manage and maintain IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security across systems, networks, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles.
• Proficient in Windows systems (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP).
• General understanding of networking (routing/switching, VLAN, Wi-Fi).
• Solid experience with virtualization platforms (GCP, Azure, Hyper-V).
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and/or Python.
• Fluency in a Nordic language (Danish, Swedish, Norwegian) and professional English.
• Problem-solving mindset and proactive learning approach.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain servers, networks, storage, and virtualization platforms.
• Troubleshoot incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
• Install and configure hardware, software, and cloud resources.
• Develop automation scripts to optimize operations.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments.
• Participate in on-call duties for incident management outside of working hours.

Skills

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (SCOM, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Structured troubleshooting approach.
• Positive, can-do attitude.
