Legal Counsel (R&D, Pharmaceuticals, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves providing legal support to the Research and Development (R&D) functions within a global pharmaceutical organization. The Legal Counsel will serve as a key advisor on legal matters related to clinical trials and development activities, collaborating closely with various stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Relevant legal degree (e.g., cand.jur., cand.merc.jur., or equivalent)
• Experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or similar life sciences environment
• Familiarity with legal matters in R&D and Clinical Operations
• Proficient in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts in a regulated setting
• Knowledge of data protection and regulatory compliance, particularly GCP and HCP frameworks is a plus
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Advise R&D teams on legal aspects of clinical trials and related activities
• Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements including confidentiality and clinical trial agreements
• Provide legal support on data protection and governance matters
• Maintain templates, playbooks, and negotiation frameworks to streamline contracting processes
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations
