About the role

Job summary

The role involves managing project controls for major energy and infrastructure EPCM projects, ensuring structured governance and performance insights across various teams. The Project Controls Manager will collaborate with Project Directors and PMO Leads to maintain high standards in scheduling, cost control, risk management, and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in PMO processes and project controls within large engineering projects, particularly in energy infrastructure or similar environments.
  • Strong understanding of engineering design phases including FEED and Detailed Design.
  • Familiarity with multi-contract delivery models and vendor engagement.
  • Proven experience in implementing structured project execution frameworks.
  • Advanced skills in progress controlling and integrated scheduling using tools like Primavera or MS Project.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to challenge assumptions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated project control processes for scheduling, cost control, risk management, and change control.
  • Create comprehensive project schedules incorporating various project activities and dependencies.
  • Oversee financial control processes including cost forecasting and commitment tracking.
  • Coordinate risk management with engineering and commercial teams.
  • Manage change processes related to design requirements and vendor information.
  • Ensure alignment across engineering, commercial management, and project finance.
  • Prepare reporting packages that provide transparency into project performance.
  • Support the implementation of project execution frameworks and promote best practices.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and structured thinking skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical inputs and translate them into project impacts.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across diverse teams.

Education

  • Relevant degree in engineering, project management, or a related field is preferred.

Tools

  • Proficient in project management software such as Primavera, MS Project, or similar.
