Project Manager (Aviation, Nordics, Hybrid)

Job summary

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the delivery of engineering and maintenance projects in Northern Europe, ensuring adherence to established processes and local regulations. The position requires effective collaboration with various teams and contractors to resolve issues systematically.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant technical field, preferably with postgraduate experience or equivalent training in project management.
• Experience in managing construction projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with external authorities and contractors.
• Flexibility to travel for extended periods as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects by applying Management of Change and Capital Value Process effectively.
• Serve as the primary liaison for projects, ensuring compliance with CAPEX and REVEX plans.
• Prepare project budgets, monitor expenditures, and manage cost control.
• Ensure project teams utilize lessons learned from previous projects.
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating resources and contractors.
• Participate in engineering processes such as design reviews and risk assessments.
• Support construction and commissioning activities, ensuring proper handover to operations.
• Approve construction materials and coordinate activities with site managers.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) policies.

Skills

• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Proficient in PC/IT applications.
• Knowledge of risk assessment and management practices.
• Understanding of Knowledge Management principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

• Relevant technical degree with project management training or experience.
