Release Train Engineer (Agile Transformation, Remote)

Job summary

Seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer to lead and enhance lean-agile delivery within a global automation framework. This role involves shaping agile transformation in a complex, regulated environment, initially serving as a Scrum Master for a pilot team and progressing to lead an Agile Release Train as more teams join.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Over 7 years of experience in software delivery
• Minimum 3 years in a leadership role such as RTE, Program Manager, or senior Scrum Master
• Proven track record in scaling agile methodologies across multiple teams
• Strong understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and lean principles
• Familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, or Confluence
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Develop and mature a lean-agile operating model for MES and automation in a regulated environment
• Facilitate agile ceremonies including PI Planning and Scrum of Scrums
• Implement change management strategies across teams and functions
• Optimize workflow using Kanban and data-driven improvements
• Ensure compliance and audit readiness through integrated change control
• Collaborate on planning and roadmaps with Product Owners and stakeholders
• Coach teams in agile practices and built-in quality
• Track and report delivery metrics to stakeholders
• Manage dependencies and risks in a global setup
• Promote continuous improvement aligned with business outcomes and quality
