Senior Project Manager (Engineering, Remote)

Job summary

This position involves leading large-scale international engineering and construction projects, focusing on CAPEX investments and complex R&D initiatives. The role requires significant travel to global production sites and collaboration with diverse stakeholders to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in engineering or a related field
• Proven experience in managing large engineering, intralogistics, or construction projects, preferably in an international context
• Strong project leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
• Ability to drive decisions without owning design aspects
• Experience with complex CAPEX investments and cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills across various organizational levels
• Strong financial acumen regarding project budgets and reporting

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of international CAPEX projects (€15M–€300M) from concept to operational handover
• Manage cross-functional teams across engineering, IT/OT, operations, and supply chain
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and budget
• Oversee stakeholder management, governance, and reporting to steering committees
• Lead risk and dependency management across various functions
• Ensure operational readiness including training, documentation, and maintenance strategies
• Capture and implement lessons learned to improve project delivery processes
