Account Director (Insurance, Remote - Nordics)

Job summary

This role focuses on developing strategic partnerships with C-level executives in the insurance sector across the Nordics, aiming to enhance customer relationships and drive growth through upselling and cross-selling digital, data, and cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with management and C-level executives, establishing the company as a trusted partner.
• Identify new opportunities within existing accounts, create compelling proposals, manage the sales cycle, and provide thought leadership.
• Ensure customer retention by maximizing the value derived from products and services.
• Develop strategic account plans that align customer strategies with company offerings.
• Facilitate customer access to the latest software versions through incremental upgrades, highlighting new features and associated services.
• Maintain accurate forecasting and tracking of new sales opportunities, coordinating with internal stakeholders to support upselling and cross-selling efforts.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience in enterprise software account management within the Nordic insurance industry, focusing on complex, multi-stakeholder solutions.
• Demonstrated success in a Cloud-native or Born-in-the-Cloud technology environment, preferably in SaaS or digital transformation.
• Strong collaborative skills, thriving in a global, matrixed organization, and working closely with teams across EMEA.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with C-level executives and navigate complex decision-making processes in large multinational insurance firms.
• Excellent influencing skills, capable of challenging customer perspectives and driving consensus among stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the Nordic region for customer engagements and industry events.
• Proficient in English; knowledge of Nordic languages (Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish) is a plus.
