Advanced Sensor Specialist (Renewable Energy, Remote or Multiple Locations)

Job summary

This role focuses on the development and integration of advanced sensor solutions for wind turbines, ensuring high-quality designs and compliance with system requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering with 4–5 years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. with 3–4 years of experience, preferably in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Experience in technical project management and engineering change management processes.
• Proven system engineering and requirements management skills.
• Experience conducting DFMEA for new products or system designs.
• Practical experience in integrating and implementing products or systems, covering electrical and/or mechanical aspects.
• Knowledge of EMC and environmental testing standards relevant to sensors/electronics.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical ownership and delivery of sensor systems, ensuring robust requirements and high-quality designs.
• Integrate advanced sensor solutions into turbine platforms, maturing existing systems and closing compliance gaps.
• Define system boundaries and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to align timelines and technical expectations.
• Provide technical direction and support to team members, participating in reviews and decision-making.
• Track tasks in JIRA, document progress, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to cost-out, lifecycle improvements, and new technology development.
