Job summary

This role focuses on managing technical risks associated with AI and agentic systems, emphasizing technical architecture, infrastructure, and operational risks. The position involves collaboration with engineering, architecture, and information security teams to ensure responsible AI adoption and regulatory compliance through innovative governance solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Risk Management, or a related Legal discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML engineering, platform engineering, or similar roles.
• Familiarity with AI platforms, systems, and relevant infrastructure, including security controls in financial services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support AI initiatives by providing technical expertise and collaborating with colleagues on model and business risk.
• Develop governance approaches to address emerging AI risks in collaboration with senior technical stakeholders.
• Assess AI platforms and architectures from technical and information security perspectives.
• Contribute to risk-based governance frameworks and approval processes for AI implementations.
• Create and refine AI governance standards, including risk assessment criteria and operational guidelines.
• Provide input on vendor risk assessments and contractual considerations for AI solutions.
• Establish governance controls for AI experimentation and production environments.
• Drive innovative solutions to governance challenges in the AI landscape.

Skills

• Experience with AI/ML technologies and understanding of system architectures and data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) in an AI context.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance in financial services.
• Familiarity with data governance and privacy considerations for AI.

Education

• BSc or MSc in relevant fields such as Business, Engineering, or Risk Management.
