Development Chemist (Pharmaceuticals, Vejen)

Job summary

A permanent position is available for a Development Chemist at a laboratory in Vejen, focusing on a 4-year R&D project in collaboration with various Danish and international partners. The role includes the opportunity to pursue an Industrial PhD in partnership with the University of Copenhagen, concentrating on the development of an AI-assisted decision-support tool for optimizing wastewater treatment processes.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. in chemistry or a related field, with a focus on analytical chemistry.
• Experience in method development and familiarity with chromatographic techniques is advantageous.
• Interest in artificial intelligence is a plus.
• Proficiency in English, with a willingness to learn Danish.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an AI-assisted tool for wastewater treatment optimization.
• Collaborate with chemists, technicians, and external partners on the R&D project.
• Engage in systematic research and method development for environmental analysis.
• Participate in periodic training and courses in Copenhagen as part of the PhD program.
