Director of Technology Risk Management (Financial Services, Remote)

Job summary

The role involves leading the controls assurance program to meet customer and regulatory requirements in the Nordic region. The Director will focus on delivering assurance reports and will be a key member of the Technology Risk & Control function, emphasizing continuous improvement and compliance with security and financial standards.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience with cross-functional influence and team collaboration.
• Experience in implementing and managing control frameworks such as ISAE and ISO 27001.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Professional certification required (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CRISC or similar).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders at all levels and external customers.
• Align assurance activities with internal risk and control frameworks.
• Collaborate with auditors to develop and test the control framework.
• Plan and execute control testing to identify risks and control gaps.
• Track and drive remediation efforts to enhance control design and operational effectiveness.
• Produce formal reports on assurance outcomes and risk assessments.
• Develop and maintain metrics and dashboards reflecting assurance progress.
• Build and manage processes to implement best practices.
