Job summary

This role involves contributing to project-based AI opportunities by designing computational physics problems that reflect real research workflows. Contributors will engage in tasks that require Python programming and ensure the problems are computationally intensive.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar programming languages is acceptable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied research or teaching.
  • Experience with numerical simulation methods and problem design in physics.
  • Strong written English proficiency (C1+).

Responsibilities

Project time expectations

Tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active project phases.

Compensation

Earn up to $45 per hour, depending on experience and contribution level.

  • Design original computational physics problems for AI evaluation.
  • Create problems that require Python programming to solve, ensuring they are computationally intensive.
  • Develop problems that necessitate complex reasoning in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
  • Base problems on real-world research challenges.
  • Verify solutions using Python and document problem statements clearly.
