IT Infrastructure Architect (Remote, Global)

Job summary

The IT Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing and overseeing enterprise-scale solutions that ensure global availability, scalability, and security. This role involves defining target architecture, selecting core technologies, and aligning infrastructure with operational needs and strategic business goals.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience in senior networking, security, or architecture roles within enterprise-scale environments.
• Deep knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and load balancers, with specialized experience in SD-WAN technologies and cloud-managed networking preferred.
• Proven ability to design secure perimeters and segmented network environments in accordance with ISO 27001 or NIST standards.
• Skilled in designing high-availability solutions for complex global logistics or distribution networks.
• Strong documentation skills to ensure architecture and system integrations are clearly recorded and shared.

Responsibilities

• Define the target technical architecture for global networks and create transformation roadmaps.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure, Information Security, and Compliance teams to ensure designs follow a 'Security by Design' approach.
• Develop and enhance SD-WAN and SASE frameworks to optimize global connectivity and improve site resilience.
• Create detailed High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD) and set technical standards for future deployments.
• Assess legacy systems and propose optimization strategies to implement scalable, automated, and secure solutions.

Skills

• Expertise in networking protocols, firewalls, load balancers, and SD-WAN technologies.
• Strong understanding of security and compliance frameworks.
• Proficient in infrastructure design for high-availability solutions.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Education

• Relevant degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with cloud-native platforms and edge security technologies.
