About the role

Job summary

An opportunity for an IT Student Assistant to support daily IT operations in a dynamic international environment. This role involves assisting global teams and gaining practical experience in IT support and service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an IT-related program (e.g., IT, computer science, networking, data).
  • Ideally, 1-2 years remaining in studies.
  • Availability for approximately 15 hours per week during business hours.
  • General understanding of IT concepts, hardware, and software.
  • Interest in IT support and service management.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support by logging, categorizing, and assigning tickets in the ITSM system.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Support colleagues across various locations and time zones.
  • Monitor service queues and escalate issues as per SLA.
  • Assist with Microsoft 365 applications including Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Help with user account administration tasks such as onboarding and access resets.
  • Support IT inventory management and asset tracking.
  • Update documentation including knowledge bases and standard operating procedures.

  • Detail-oriented and structured in approach.
  • Curious and willing to learn, with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek assistance.
  • Comfortable communicating with colleagues at all organizational levels.

Education

  • Enrollment in a relevant IT-related study program is required.

Tools

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and standard workplace IT tools is preferred.
