Job summary

This is a 12-month internship opportunity for a Laboratory Technician Intern within a research-focused analytics team. The role involves gaining hands-on experience in a cutting-edge laboratory environment, specifically working with Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) systems to support drug discovery projects.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a laboratory technician education program, seeking a one-year internship.
  • Completed the theoretical portion of laboratory technician training.
  • Passionate about laboratory work and advanced analytical instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry principles.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the operation, setup, and maintenance of LC-MS instruments.
  • Execute routine and project-based sample runs on LC-MS systems.
  • Develop and implement new analytical methods and instrument configurations.
  • Monitor instrument performance and maintain data quality standards.
  • Prepare solvents and standards for LC-MS analysis.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and maintain organized laboratory spaces.
  • Support preparative mass-directed LC analysis in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Document analysis workflows to ensure reproducibility and accuracy.
  • Familiarize with LC-MS software tools and data analysis techniques.
  • Get accustomed to automated liquid handlers.
