Lead Engineer (SAP Governance, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves leading the SAP Governance & Enablement team, ensuring effective architecture and governance of SAP S/4 HANA platforms. The position requires a blend of technical leadership and product ownership, focusing on reducing technical debt and enhancing platform adoption across various product teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in SAP technical leadership and agile technology development.
• Strong background in defining SAP foundational architecture.
• Familiarity with technologies outside the SAP ecosystem is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Technical Lead for the SAP Governance & Enablement product team.
• Oversee capabilities including SAP Integration, Development, Data Volume Management, Change and Test Management, and Security.
• Foster collaboration with multi-functional teams and maintain strong relationships with platform customers.
• Establish and maintain the platform roadmap, aligning with higher-level objectives.
• Mentor and empower team members to follow the technical direction set.

Skills

• Proficient in SAP integration, API Development, and ABAP Development.
• Hands-on experience with SAP CPI, Advanced Event Mesh, OData, SAP Gateway, CDS, Fiori, UI5, RAP, CAP, Workflows, REST, SOAP, and RFC.
• Knowledge of SAP BTP and application development on this platform.
• Understanding of non-SAP Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and open standards like Cloud Foundry and Kyma.
• Familiarity with SAP Basis, Test Management, Change Management, Data Volume Management, and SAP GRC.
• Knowledge of security standards and principles, including cybersecurity.

Education

• Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal, is required.

Tools

• Experience with automated testing tools such as Tricentis Tosca is preferred.
