Lead Infrastructure Engineer (Remote, Global)

Job summary

This role involves leading the architecture, strategy, and delivery of a global Edge Communications Platform, ensuring secure and scalable IT/OT connectivity. The position requires a senior technical leader to set engineering direction and standards while managing a team of senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Over 15 years of experience in Networking & Security, including leadership roles.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial networking and OT integration.
• Expert knowledge of routing/switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Strong expertise in security technologies including NGFW, IPS/IDS, and Zero Trust.
• Experience with network automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Familiarity with OT networking standards like PROFINET and Modbus.
• Proven track record in managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
• Preferred certifications: CCNP/CCIE, TOGAF, or CISSP.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and long-term roadmap for Edge Communications.
• Define engineering standards and lead design reviews for network and security solutions.
• Oversee the delivery of various security and networking solutions including VPN and wireless.
• Manage automation initiatives and develop frameworks for automated remediation.
• Collaborate with Terminal IT and Security teams to align requirements with platform solutions.
• Lead major network programs, managing risks and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001.
• Maintain comprehensive platform documentation and track KPIs related to performance and security.

Education

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
