This PhD scholarship focuses on developing advanced coatings for visible and infrared spectral control, addressing key challenges in industrial coatings. The research will be conducted at a leading technical university, utilizing both theoretical approaches and practical laboratory work.

Qualifications

  • A two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Coatings Technology, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Newly graduated or with industry experience, particularly in experimental laboratory and formulation work.
  • Interest in coatings and experimental research.

Responsibilities

  • Design a measurement setup for thermal IR coatings.
  • Formulate and characterize thermal IR coatings.
  • Optimize coatings for practical field applications.
  • Write and publish three or more scientific articles during the PhD program.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Curiosity and a visionary mindset to tackle complex challenges.

Education

  • Required: Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
