Senior Workday Release Administrator (Remote, Global)

Job summary

The Senior Workday Release Administrator is responsible for leading and managing release management activities for Workday, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and execution of various release types. This role focuses on maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and delivering updates seamlessly across Workday environments.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Information Technology or a related field.
• 3-5 years of implementation experience in Workday, particularly in HCM and Finance.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to document complex systems requirements.
• Experience in project management and vendor management.
• Multi-lingual skills and cross-cultural experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide expertise on Workday systems.
• Conduct analysis of user needs and document requirements for system specifications.
• Act as a liaison between IT and end users to ensure compatibility and satisfaction with Workday releases.
• Adapt processes in response to changing circumstances and recommend innovative IT solutions.
• Write and maintain detailed systems documentation, including user and technical manuals.
• Establish control policies and benchmarks in line with best practices.
• Travel and work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed.

Skills

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to mentor and train team members.
• Knowledge of Workday ancillary products and partners.
• Familiarity with ITIL and change management methodologies.
• Project management certifications are advantageous.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Familiarity with software development methodologies and process improvement techniques.
