System Consultant (Technology, Madrid)

Job summary

This role involves technical work and customer interaction, focusing on the deployment and operation of critical systems aimed at combating crime and terrorism. The position is based in Madrid, with responsibilities that include planning customer deliveries and providing support for software solutions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a system consultant, IT consultant, or in a similar technical role within a software or technology environment.
• Strong technical foundation with experience in modern infrastructure and large-scale IT solutions across Linux and Windows platforms.
• Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute customer deliveries, including preparation, configuration, documentation, and installation of software solutions.
• Conduct and support customer training in collaboration with training teams.
• Provide support and maintenance for customer installations, both remotely and onsite.
• Participate in deployments and customer engagements in Spain and occasionally abroad.
• Contribute to internal documentation and software release testing.
• Respond to customer inquiries via the support ticket system, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Gather customer feedback and translate operational needs into input for product and development teams.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of Linux system administration, container technologies (e.g., Docker), Kubernetes, virtualization technologies, and monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana).
• Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewall principles).
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch or MongoDB is an advantage.
• Commitment to staying updated with emerging technologies in infrastructure and platform operations.

Education

• Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Tools

• Experience with monitoring tools, container orchestration platforms, and modern infrastructure technologies.
