Job summary

The role involves being the primary testing expert in a Defence programme, focusing on high-quality delivery of custom integrations and extensions. The Systems Test Engineer will design, execute, and enhance test processes while collaborating with developers and architects across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Software Technology, or a related field.
• Several years of experience as a Software or Systems Tester, particularly with integrations, hardware interfaces, or complex systems.
• Familiarity with Test Management and Test Design methods, as well as integrations, APIs, protocols, and hardware validation setups.
• Strong attention to detail regarding software engineering fundamentals and quality assurance.
• Innovative mindset with a willingness to propose new solutions and improvements.
• Experience with automated test frameworks.
• Proficiency in Professional English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply the test process across bespoke integration projects to ensure consistent quality assurance.
• Analyze requirements and features to define suitable test designs and risk-based testing techniques.
• Execute various test activities, including functional, integration, hardware-related, regression, and non-functional testing.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and share relevant information proactively.
• Maintain test documentation and traceability to support audit and compliance requirements.
