Senior People Compliance Specialist (Remote, EMEA)

Job summary

This role involves managing compliant works council engagements across Germany, the Netherlands, and France, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in coordinating works council processes, employee relations, or labor relations in Europe.
• Familiarity with works council processes in at least one of Germany, the Netherlands, or France, with a willingness to expand knowledge to other countries.
• Fluency in English and proficiency in French; additional languages are a plus.
• Understanding of European labor law and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage works council engagements and processes, ensuring compliance with legal timelines and agreements.
• Prepare meeting agendas and information packages for works council meetings, including documentation management and stakeholder coordination.
• Collaborate with People Business Partners and legal teams to maintain productive relationships with works council members.
• Advise managers on works council requirements and best practices for consultation.
• Manage multiple requests and consultations, ensuring timely completion and communication.
• Create standardized processes and training materials to enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain consultation records and ensure compliance with audit readiness and data retention.

Skills

• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in HR, law, or a related field is preferred.
